For my Sister & Brother in law.

With love for Abigail Fluit
Born to Phil and Leanne Fluit
Born and died April 24, 2013

We don't know why life can be too short for some.
Abigail didn't even get a chance to see the world.
But the first time she opened her eyes,
she saw Heaven.

I love you Abigail.
Love, your Aunt Anita

Songkran (Thai New Year)

The average temperature in Thailand since we arrived is a smokin 37 degrees centigrade.

Luckily for us, we arrived just before one of the
biggest water fights I have ever been in.

Songkran is a celebration of the Thai New Year lasting three full days from April 13-15.

People roam the streets throwing water on eachother in belief that the new year would bring good luck and prosperity.
The water is symbolic in "washing the 'bad' away.

We couldn't go outside without getting wet.
So, we went out armed with water guns and buckets and had so much fun!
Sarah and Cass... armed and ready.
Sadly, the countrywide death toll during the celebration was about 285 and almost 2,800 casualties.
One of our favourite spots was at a small pool outside a big hotel... endless water supply!
 Water guns for sale everywhere.
A group of Thai's getting hit with water while riding a tuc tuc.
A tuc tuc getting sprayed while riding down the 'bar' street in the red light district, Chaingmai.
A neighbour boy getting ready to spray Sarah and Cass as they walk by.
Some foreigners getting really into it.  Check out those goggles!

A little compliation of go-pro footage.

Letters from Home..

Sometimes, it's the little things that make you happy.
Today, it was waking up to a letter from home.

Thanks Kristina.

...yesterday the remainder of my flights were booked. Which means I'm coming home!! Obviously I won't see home for a long time, but at least it's coming.
I talked for almost two hours with my mom. We talked about life, leadership, work and home.
I get to be a part of decorating the new balcony at mom and dads house... It will have a nice 'flare' from Thailand... How cool is that!
I also got to talk with my sister Leanne and the kids. They said, "I miss you Auntie Anita".
Yes, I miss you too! They are so cute..

I'm off for my morning run. Stay fit everyone. Stay safe.

Home of the Llamas

One llama

Two llama

Three llama

FOUR

A market full of llamas for us to explore

a llama on a bag

A llama on a mat

if your head gets cold, just get a llama hat

Even Jesus loves the llama

A baby
and his
mama
a llama for your keys,

And a llama for your cama

Llamas in a line

Llamas in a game

Once you've seen this market, you will never be the same

A llama for your pen

A llama coloured ginger

A llama on a cup

a llama for your finger

A llama with a pack

A llama that can't see

If I could pick a llama..

is he the one for me?

the llama is so lovely

I hope that you don't mind,

but I think that the llama

leaves other pets behind
A llama made of wool

A llama made of metal

If I loved an alpaca...

That would mean I'd settle

I think if you saw one,

You would love it too

If you don't believe me...

come to PERU!!!
